Who we are
Dueck Residential is a residential and commercial property maintenance and painting company serving Tacoma, Washington and the surrounding South Puget Sound. We handle interior and exterior painting, general property maintenance and repairs, renovations, and light commercial work such as offices, retail spaces, rental turnovers, and multifamily common areas. Our work is deliberately focused: we'd rather do maintenance and painting carefully than stretch into work that doesn't fit.
Who we serve
We work with homeowners planning a single room or a full exterior, with people preparing a property to move into or out of, and with owners and property managers coordinating rentals and commercial spaces. Different projects, but the same expectation: a team that treats the property with care and keeps everyone informed.

Preparation first
We plan preparation and protection around the real condition of your surfaces, not a generic checklist.
Clear communication
You'll know the scope, the schedule, and what to expect — and we'll flag anything that needs a closer look.
Respect for your property
Careful protection of floors, furnishings, fixtures, and landscaping, and tidy work areas throughout.
A clean finish
We remove masking, clean up, and walk the completed work with you before we call it done.
Why preparation and communication matter
Most paint and maintenance problems trace back to two things: preparation that was skipped and expectations that were never made clear. A finish only lasts when the surface beneath it was properly cleaned, sound, and ready. And a project only feels smooth when you understand what's happening and when. We treat both as part of the work, not extras.
Our Tacoma-area focus
We're a service-area business centered on Tacoma, and we travel to nearby communities including Lakewood, University Place, Fircrest, Puyallup, Fife, Gig Harbor, Federal Way, and other parts of Pierce County and South King County. James Dueck
Co-Founder & Chief Executive OfficerBorn and raised in Federal Way, James brings a background in sales and property services to how the business is run day to day. He spent two years living in Mexico City before coming back home to the South Sound. Outside the office, you'll catch him on the golf course or the pickleball courts.
Jeremiah Ross-Seru
Co-Founder & Managing DirectorJeremiah's background is in real estate sales, with prior experience as an account executive at REI and Hawx Pest Control. That relationship-first approach carries over into how he runs projects and manages client accounts. Outside the office, you'll find him scuba diving or out on the golf course.
